With a vast amount of experience in real estate, as well as intimate local area knowledge, I work extensively to help buyers and sellers meet their real estate goals.  Some of the areas I have specialized in over the 13 years I have been in the real estate industry include:  Tempe, Chandler, Gilbert, Mesa, Queen Creek, Apache Junction, Scottsdale, Phoenix, Glendale, Avondale, Goodyear, Peoria and throughout the valley.

As a Listing Agent in Maricopa County, my continued and extensive research in regional, state and national real estate and economic market trends is utilized in order to make the best decision on how to price each and every listing.  Additionally, my customized marketing plan gives each homeowner the opportunity to get the maximum value for his/her property.

As a Buyer’s Representative, I help negotiate the best possible deal and search until I find the perfect property. Nothing satisfies me more than seeing the smiles that come with a successful sale or the purchase of a lifetime.

If you are looking to buy or sell a home or would just like to know some more information, feel free to call me any time at (480) 332-4413 or Email me at MelcherHomes@cox.net.

Thanks again for choosing me as your Arizona real estate source.

Looking for a Realtor® can be difficult, but the choice should be easy.  Experience and knowledge are the most important things a Realtor® should possess, when it comes to conducting the best real estate transaction for you.

Experience and Dedication: Kriste Melcher has 13 years of real estate experience, which includes but is not limited to commercial real estate, property management, new home sales, and of course International and Domestic Residential Real Estate!  There are thousands of Realtors® out there, but most only last a few years.  In addition, most are only doing real estate part-time.  Many have other jobs or careers that are first priority.  This is Kriste’s only profession.  Real Estate is her career, and it has become her life’s work.  Kriste has been in the real estate profession, in one way or another, since she was 19 years old.

History: Kriste started working at John Hall & Associates in 1996, when she relocated to Tempe.  She had resided in Phoenix for 12 years prior to that time.  That is a total of 21 years as an Arizona resident.  If you are interviewing Realtors®, Kriste urges you to ask how long they have been in the valley.  Then ask them how long they have been in the real estate industry.  She is sure you may be surprised at what you find.

Education: Due to the ever-changing real estate industry, Kriste has been very active in continuing her education in real estate.  To really understand every aspect of real estate, Kriste chose to return to ASU after many years of experience in real estate, to obtain her Bachelor of Science in Real Estate.  It is a Business Degree from the W.P. Carey School of Business.  Some of the aspects Kriste learned, which Realtors® rarely get from real estate school, were:

  • How to negotiate in client’s best interests.
  • How an appraisal should truly be done,
  • How to create and understand market reports,
  • How to speculate and determine market trends, and
  • How to utilize demographics in the commercial real estate market and the economy.

These are just a few examples of what Kriste’s real estate degree adds to her knowledge and experience as a Realtor®.  She cannot stress her degree’s importance in her day-to-day business.

Kriste has also chosen to continue her education in other ways.  She has received the following professional designations and certifications: Certified Residential Specialist - CRS, Graduate of Real Estate Institute - GRI, At Home With Diversity - AHWD, and Transnational Referral Certification - TRC.

This includes taking additional advanced courses and demonstrating professional expertise in the field of residential real estate in order to achieve her CRS, which is a credential which only the top 4% of Realtors nationwide have earned.

In addition, Kriste elected to participate in an additional 90 hours of comprehensive education and passed subject exams over and above what an average licensee takes in order to graduate with her GRI.

The TRC designation is achieved with further education on the International Real Estate market.  This designation allows Kriste's participation in a Global Referral System.  It also promotes communication, education and cooperation with members of the Real Estate Community worldwide.  This coincides with Kriste's membership to the Council of Certified International Property Specialists and her designation for At Home With Diversity.

Memberships/Committees:

  • National Association of Realtors®
  • Arizona Association of Realtors®
  • Southeast Valley Association of Realtors®
  • Government Affairs Committee for SEVRAR
  • International Real Estate Council
  • Transnational Referral Certification
  • Tempe Chamber of Commerce
  • Council of Certified Residential Specialists
  • Council of Certified International Property Specialists
  • Women’s Council of Realtors®
  • Phoenix Sister Cities – Ennis, Ireland Committee
  • Arizona Real Estate Alumni Club
  • Friend of Desert Stages

Commitment: Finally, Kriste has been successful in the volume of transactions she has closed.  Finding a home for a buyer, or finding a buyer for the home one is selling, is only part of the task.  The hardest part in real estate is closing the deal.  Kriste works diligently to make her clients’ dreams come true.  She explains everything in detail, and she is there every step of the way.  Because of Kriste’s rapport with her past clients, she is continually rewarded with referrals and repeat business.  After all, Kriste wants to be your “Realtor® For Life"!

Personal:  I don't have much free time due to my career, but when I am able to have some time away from my work, I spend it with my 7 year old son, Brandon.  Anyone who knows me, personally, knows that he is the reason I work so hard every day, so that my smart little boy will have a bright future.  I try to keep him busy in many activities as well as fostering his education.

Therefore, I also volunteer and donate to Desert Stages Theatre where my son is active in plays from time to time.  Their website is listed under Area Information.  Check out the pictures under Aladdin Jr., my son is one of the Sultan guards toward the end of the pictures. His also featured in pictures for Grease, Peter Pan, and Beauty and the Beast.

Most recently, I am extremely proud of my opportunity to join an amazing group of 16 Arizona Realtors on a Gulf Coast Recovery Habitat for Humanity build in Mobile, Alabama in April 2007.  We built a home from foundation up in 4 days!
